"Gen Z Gangster" Tortures Best Friend to Death

In July 2026, 24 year old Jeong Jae-hwan (정재환) spent the night drinking with two longtime friends inside his apartment in Gyeongsan, South Korea. By morning, one of them was dead, another was seriously injured, and Jeong was wandering the streets naked and covered in blood. What makes the case even more disturbing is that much of the attack was captured during a 21-minute phone call. Friends listened as their close friend begged him to stop while Jeong laughed and made jokes. What happened inside that apartment, and why did Jeong turn on the one person who had spent years trying to help him? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Dark Silk is dedicated to uncovering true crime cases from East Asia and beyond, stories buried in regional news and lost in translation.
