Description

I Keep Away From People After 60 — This Really Surprised Me As we get older, we're often told that we should get out more, meet people, stay busy, join groups, and avoid spending too much time alone. But what if being alone isn't always a bad thing? In this video, I share something I learned from my own experience: sometimes you can be surrounded by people and still feel incredibly lonely. And sometimes, being by yourself can bring something we don't always appreciate enough — peace. After decades of working, raising families, caring for others, maintaining relationships, and constantly giving our time and energy, there may come a point in life when quiet time becomes something we genuinely need. There's a difference between being lonely and being alone. One can be painful, while the other can be peaceful, restorative, and deeply satisfying. I'm not suggesting that we should completely isolate ourselves or push everyone out of our lives. Human connection still matters. But perhaps we shouldn't feel guilty if we enjoy our own company, prefer a quiet home, or simply don't want to be around people all the time. If you're over 60 and you've found yourself wanting more peace, more privacy, and more time to yourself, you're certainly not alone. So I'd love to hear from you: When you spend time alone, do you feel lonely — or do you feel peaceful? Thank you for watching, and wherever you are in the world, take good care of yourself. #Over60 #AgingGracefully #SeniorLife #LifeAfter60 #RetirementLife #HealthyAging #Loneliness #Solitude #LifeLessons #GrowingOlder #SeniorWisdom #PeacefulLife #LivingAlone #AgingWell Thank you for your support! 💙🙏 🔴 Candle of Wisdom
