Description
If the bins filled up and the house didn't get lighter: https://twohousesbook.com
The book is the whole argument behind this video in one place. The eighty-centimetre cupboard, the two questions to ask before anything comes in, and a ten-room audit you can run this weekend.
543 pages, 96 chapters, every claim sourced. $47 early-bird, 30-day refund.
I grew up in a Japanese house. I've now lived in America longer than I lived in Japan.
Everyone tells you the answer to a messy house is a better system. More bins, clear ones, labeled. That's not it. You can't organize clutter, you can only give it nicer furniture, and a bin with room left in it is an invitation to fill it.
This video goes through nine storage products the Japanese house I grew up in never bought, from the lazy susan to the pantry made to look like a grocery store, with what each one promises, what it actually does, and what my mother did instead. At the end, a box she wouldn't buy me when I was nine, and the question she asked before anything came into her house.
Two containers get defended, and I mean it. A thick jar with a rubber seal really does keep pantry moths out, and for some people a clear bin on the same shelf is the only system that holds on their hardest day. Those are tools for a problem, and American kitchens make the best ones I've used.
If you make it to the end, leave one word in the comments: done. And name the organizer you bought that's now holding the thing it was meant to replace.
