THE ROMAN EMPIRE DIDN’T END IN 476 AD #byzantinehistory #romanhistory #romanempire

The Roman Empire didn’t simply disappear in 476 AD. While the Western Roman Empire collapsed, the Eastern Roman Empire continued to exist from Constantinople for nearly another thousand years. Its people continued to call themselves Romans, its emperors ruled as Roman emperors, and Roman law and political traditions remained central to the state. Today, we call this empire the Byzantine Empire. But that name was created later by historians. To the people who lived there, they were simply Romans. #ByzantineEmpire #RomanEmpire #HistoryFacts #AncientHistory #ByzantineHistory #RomanHistory #HistoricalDebate #EmpireComparison #ByzantineCulture #RomanLegacy #HistoryNerd #LearnHistory #AncientCivilizations #ByzantineArt #RomanArchitecture #HistoryChannel #EducationalContent #HistoryBuff #HistoricalDocumentary #ByzantineInfluence #RomanInfluence #CulturalHeritage #HistoryExplained #ByzantinePolitics #RomanSociety #AncientEmpires #HistoryLovers #ByzantineEconomy #RomanMilitary #HistoryUncovered #ByzantineReligion
