Old Man Builds a Cozy Log Cabin in Alaska | Start to Finish | @ThisIsMyAlaska

He started this cabin at ten below zero, in a late-winter snowstorm. By December it was forty-five below outside, and the floor inside was warm. An Alaskan who has lived in the state for more than fifty years builds a small white spruce log cabin almost entirely by himself, with his grandson Drox helping along the way. Watch the summer beam go up on a backhoe, a roof built in two layers to breathe in the Alaskan cold, a cable railing made for about $150, a radiant floor poured over hot-water tubing, a pebble "stream" running through the kitchen, and a set of old moose antlers turned into the cabin's lights. This video is presented for educational, inspirational, and entertainment purposes, highlighting the skill, effort, and creativity involved in building a beautiful log cabin from the ground up.
