I Tested 11 'Mosquito Plants' My Garden Center Sold - Only 4 ACTUALLY Work

34 years running chain garden centers taught me one thing about "mosquito plants": the yellow tag on the pot lies. I planted all 11 of the biggest sellers in my own yard, tested them across two summers, and the results were not what the supplier catalog promised. Only 4 of the 11 actually reduce mosquito pressure in a real backyard. The other 7 are sold every spring with stickers that promise protection they cannot deliver - because volatile oils only release from crushed leaves, not from a plant standing in a foundation bed. In this video I walk through the full countdown of all 11 plants, name which chain retailer sells each one, and reveal the single plant #1 that actually works passively - and the one I planted in 1995 that still outperforms every mosquito plant at Home Depot in 2026. 👇 Which mosquito plant have you wasted money on?
