Let’s Call It New America | A Protest Song Inspired by Trump’s New Mexico Post

What if “New America” meant something more than changing a name on a map? “Let’s Call It New America” is an original political protest song inspired by Donald Trump’s September 6, 2026 suggestion that New Mexico be renamed “New America.” Instead of treating a new label as national renewal, the song imagines an America defined by affordable healthcare, strong public schools, equal rights, dignity, opportunity, trusted global leadership and the promise of “We the People.” With hopeful Americana and heartland folk-pop energy, this protest anthem turns the New Mexico controversy into a bigger emotional question: What would it actually take to make America feel new? A song about American values, democracy, healthcare, education, equality, leadership and the unfinished promise of a more perfect union.
