Description

How do mechanics fix a bolt when the head completely snaps off?! 🔩🤬 There is no worse feeling in the garage than tightening a bolt and suddenly feeling it snap in half! When the metal breaks off flush inside an expensive engine part, you can't just grab it with pliers. The part is effectively ruined unless you can extract the broken metal! In this video, a mechanic tackles the ultimate garage nightmare! First, they use a heavy-duty drill bit to hollow out the center of the seized metal. Next, they use a shower of sparks from an angle grinder to shave the broken, jagged edges perfectly flush with the housing! Finally, they drill completely through the core, allowing them to clean out the hole and thread a brand new bolt safely into place! It takes extreme patience, but it brings the dead part back to life!
