Living With Yaks: What Life Is Really Like in the Remote Himalayas | SLICE | FULL DOCUMENTARY

High in the Himalayas, far from the rhythms of modern city life, Dholma lives according to a completely different reality. One of the oldest women on the high pasture, she still works alongside the others, chasing young yaks across the mountains and facing the physical demands of life at altitude. When evening comes, she returns to her simple stone shelter, where conversations with the filmmaker reveal not only the isolation of her world, but also the enormous cultural distance between their lives. Through Dholma’s humor, resilience, and daily routine, this documentary offers an intimate glimpse into a way of life that feels almost unimaginable to those of us living in cities.
