Description

WW1 trench food, World War1 rations, American soldiers WW1 food A man crouches in a trench before first light, mud past his ankles, rain still coming down from the night before. Somewhere down the line, a tin gets passed hand to hand. Nobody talks much this early. There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. During the First World War, more than sixty million men served on fronts stretching from Belgium to the Ottoman Empire. Every one of them had to be fed, in trenches, in mud, under shellfire, sometimes for weeks without a hot meal reaching them at all. Fresh food rarely survived the journey to the front line. So soldiers learned to live on whatever could survive the war around it. And most days, that meant a very familiar handful of rations. In today's video, we look at 12 Rugged Foods WW1 Soldiers ACTUALLY Ate to Stay Alive … Keep watching to see WW1 trench food, World War1 rations, American soldiers WW1 food.
