In 2022, about 150,000 people in Jackson, Mississippi lost safe water, and the National Guard handed out bottled water and hand sanitizer. Bottled water handles drinking, but a modern toilet still takes 1.6 gallons a flush. The Army's field sanitation manual says disease and nonbattle injury have cost three times as many soldiers as enemy action. Most households have a stack of water and no plan for everything else. Subscribe to the channel: @rangerrickus In this video, we talk about the 9 supplies that keep a house running when city water stops or turns unsafe, including a 100-gallon bathtub bladder for $29.89, plain unscented bleach and the EPA's 8-drop rule, a 0.1-micron filter paired with chlorine dioxide tablets, the twin-bucket toilet, the 30 to 50 gallons hiding in your water heater, stackable food-grade jugs with a spigot, a sanitizer and wash-station setup, chlorine test strips and the three kinds of water advisory, and pool shock, the same calcium hypochlorite Army field sanitation teams use. Subscribe if you want your house ready before the next boil notice lands. Comment where you're watching from and which of these nine you'd buy first for your own home. Share this with family on Facebook, Reddit or the group chat before the next storm, because folks like you are the reason this channel keeps going.
