Description

🔗 Save $3,000 A Year the Mountain Way. Get the Full Manual 👉 https://www.arliecaudill.com There is a flashlight in your kitchen drawer with dead batteries in it, and you will not find out until the ice takes the power line down at supper. I am Arlie Caudill. I was raised up a holler in Letcher County, Kentucky, and we lose the lights up here most every winter. In this video I walk you through eleven things off the dollar store shelves that households up here buy before the cold comes. One of each comes to about fifteen dollars. Then I give you the five things on those same shelves we never touch. One of those puts folks our age in the hospital every winter. Most of this I got from my Mamaw. Some of it I learned the hard way, at nine years old, going down an iced-over path to the spring with an empty bucket. Her lesson from that morning is at the top of the list. Buy these on a dry day while the hooks are full, not the morning the weatherman says ice. Come tell me in the comments which room in your house goes cold first when the power goes off. Tell me what county you are in and how old your house is. The whole of what my people knew is written down at arliecaudill.com. #WinterPrep #Appalachia #PowerOutage #DollarTree #OldWays #HomesteadLiving #MountainLiving
