Can 6 SEALs Survive Every Single Historical Elite Unit?

Navy SEALs vs the Persian Immortals, Varangian Guard, Janissaries and Fallschirmjäger: can six modern soldiers survive four fights on 180 rounds each? One night, one basic load, no resupply and no extraction, as six operators walk through two and a half thousand years of the best infantry ever fielded. Three things run down as they go: ammunition, medical gear and the batteries in their night vision, and a survival tier tracks the squad after every fight. Mike takes the squad from the pass at Thermopylae in 480 BC, where Herodotus’ ten thousand Immortals turn out to be fast men behind wicker shields, to a four-foot stairwell held by the axe-bearing Varangian Guard in 1081. From there it’s the siege of Constantinople on 29 May 1453, where Mehmed II sends his irregulars first and saves the Janissaries for last. The night ends in the ruins of Cassino in 1944, against German paratroopers and an MG42.
