Description

The first year I got serious about my pantry, I carried three cases of canned vegetables down to the basement. Two years later, I carried most of them back up and donated them. Nothing had spoiled. We just never wanted to eat them. So in this video I'm sorting the canned vegetable aisle into two piles. Six cans aren't worth long-term shelf space, including one I still buy every month (just not for the basement). Eight cans I keep stacked deep, ranked down to the one I'd keep if I could only keep one. You'll also learn where to store your cans so they last, why rotation matters more than the date on the lid, and what a steamboat that sank in 1865 taught us about canned food. Which can do you think I got wrong? Tell me in the comments. I read them.
