Description

Four slices left in the bag and green fuzz on the heel. If that's your kitchen every Friday, this one's for you. The EPA says a household of four throws away about $2,913 worth of food a year. Much of that loss comes down to storing food in the wrong spot. In this video I walk you through 12 foods I see stored wrong all the time, from bread in the refrigerator to tomatoes in the crisper drawer to the eggs sitting in your fridge door right now. For every one, I'll show you where it really belongs, the way my grandmother did it, with nothing fancier than a jar, a paper towel, and a sheet of foil. None of this is your fault. The bags, the clamshells, and even that little egg tray were built for store shelves and showrooms, not for your kitchen. This knowledge used to get passed down at the kitchen table, and I'm passing it back to you. Tell me in the comments: what storage trick did your grandmother, your mama, or your auntie swear by? Subscribe for more of what our grandmothers knew about making a dollar do the work of five. #FrugalLiving #FoodStorage #GrandmasKitchen
