While strange, grotesque monsters have dominated the world of horror for ages, their rising popularity and our dwindling attention span have made them the perfect antagonists for short films as well! Released in 2017, Zygote is a perfect example of a quick, thrilling horror watch, and the film's titular monster is truly one of the most disturbing creatures I have ever set my eyes on. Directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Oats Studios, this film introduced Zygote as a mystery mass of humans, and this fused identity truly makes him one of the most confusing beings in the horror world.
