They Released 17 Lions Into a Park That Forgot Fear

For thirty years, nothing in this national park had a reason to be afraid. Zebras grazed without watching the grass, antelope slept without posting a guard, and hyenas lived almost entirely as scavengers. Then seventeen lions were trucked in from nearly sixteen hundred miles away and released into a landscape that had no idea what they were. Over the next few months, every animal in the park relearned the one instinct that kept their ancestors alive for a million years: fear. 🦁 In this video: How giraffes first detected the unfamiliar scent How two warthogs survived a hunt using scent alone How the Cape buffalo herd rebuilt its tight defensive formation The hyenas' first hard lesson from the pride The moment a rhino calf felt real fear for the first time What the zebras learned at a deadly river crossing The story of an old, solitary lion on the park's edge 👉 Next episode: The old lion tries to reclaim a place in this transformed territory.
