We Love the 80's | Sandra | Everlasting Love

Sandra brings her unmistakable voice and 1980s Euro-pop style to "Everlasting Love," one of her memorable hits from 1987. Originally recorded by American soul singer Robert Knight in 1967, "Everlasting Love" was written by Buzz Cason and Mac Gayden. The song became a hit for several artists over the decades, including Love Affair in 1968 and Carl Carlton in 1974. Twenty years after the original recording, German pop star Sandra introduced the song to a new generation with her own energetic, synthesizer-driven interpretation, produced by Michael Cretu. Michael would later achieve international success with his musical project Enigma. Released in 1987, Sandra's version became another European success, reaching No. 5 in both Germany and Switzerland and No. 6 in Austria. The recording was also featured on Sandra's 1987 compilation album Ten on One (The Singles). With its infectious rhythm, soaring melodies, and Sandra's distinctive vocals, "Everlasting Love" captures the sound and spirit of European pop music in the late 1980s. #Sandra #EverlastingLove #80sMusic #EuroPop #SandraCretu #1987 #80sNostalgia #ClassicPop
