Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority counted 12 dead and 309 injured; an Indian man died of his wounds the next day, so 13 people have died. It was the deadliest attack inside the kingdom since May 2015, and by Reuters' count the third attack on the airport that week. The Saudi-led coalition blamed Yemen's Houthis; on Sunday the Houthis claimed it. This film rebuilds the afternoon at the terminal, the week of strikes on Saudi airports, the July runway strike in Sanaa that started this round, and the question the title asks: how did the missile get through? It sets out what Saudi Arabia has said about its defences and what analysts say could explain it. Saudi Arabia has not said how the missile got through. The victims are named only where their governments, employers or families named them. This film shows no image of any victim and no injury. The 3D scenes are reconstructions.
