Behind a locked cockpit door, the captain had been attacked by his first officer. In the cabin, 174 passengers could hear knocking from the inside and nothing else. This is a 3D reconstruction of the whole story, built from the captain's own accounts, the passengers who spoke on the record, official statements and flight-tracking data: who was on board and why almost all of them were Israeli, what the captain says happened at the controls, the twenty-nine seconds in the data and in the cabin, both sides of the door, who flew the plane, the squawk codes and the fighter jets, the landing at Tabuk, and what is known, claimed and still unknown as the investigation runs. 0:00 Cold open 1:58 The only bridge 5:13 Sponsor: Kloudboard 6:21 The left seat 9:47 He wanted to pray 12:37 Twenty-nine seconds 17:13 Two sides of a door 21:31 Who flew the plane 26:11 Seventy-five hundred 29:30 Tabuk 32:51 What we know now QUESTIONS THIS FILM ANSWERS What happened on flydubai flight 1073? Over northern Saudi Arabia, about two hours into the flight, the captain says his first officer asked to pray and then struck him from behind with the cockpit's crash axe. The jet fell 14,125 feet in 29 seconds. The captain, on the floor, opened the reinforced door from the inside; passengers restrained the first officer and two off-duty flydubai pilots flew the aircraft to Tabuk. Who was on board? 174 passengers, most of them Israelis flying home in the middle of Sukkot: families with children, a dentist, a plumber, a 25-year-old from Boston flying alone, and two flydubai pilots in row six who were not on duty. Why no camera in the cockpit? Airliners carry a voice recorder and a data recorder, not cameras. The film explains what each records, why investigators have asked for image recorders for decades, and why the only inside account on the public record is the captain's. How far and how fast did the plane fall? Flight-tracking data shows 30,875 feet at 08:22:07 and 16,750 feet 29 seconds later, a second dive after a brief recovery, then level flight near 15,000 feet. The flight recorder data has not been published. What is 7700 and 7500? Transponder codes: 7700 is a general emergency, 7500 is unlawful interference. FZ1073 broadcast both; Israel scrambled fighter jets; the jet turned west, briefly into Jordanian airspace, then back for Tabuk. What do we know about the first officer? He has not been officially named or charged. Statements attributed to him are reported, not confirmed, and the film labels them as claims. He is presumed innocent until a court decides. ABOUT THIS FILM 📄 Every source used in this film: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zQWb9TaWo4M1GyJNzTKR_3uHv2lkwTHFAHI92XIML4w Built on the captain's own accounts, on passengers who spoke on the record, on official statements (UAE Attorney-General, Saudi Interior Ministry, flydubai) and on flight-tracking data (Flightradar24, AirNav Radar). Where the sources disagree, the film says so. The narration voice is AI-generated, and all 3D scenes are reconstructions: the passengers are generic figures, seat positions follow the seat map as reported, and nothing graphic is shown. The investigation is ongoing; the film states the date it was finished. PHOTOS AND RECORDINGS Real recordings: the captain's phone call with Israel's prime minister, 3 Oct 2026 (Prime Minister's Office of Israel); his video call with India's prime minister, 2 Oct 2026 (PMO India; Hindi, English subtitles are our translation).
