The Night Princess Anne Faced an Armed Kidnapper—and Refused to Surrender
Subscribe to the channel: @LostGrandeurUK
On the evening of 20 March 1974, a gunman blocked Princess Anne's car in The Mall, just 200 yards from Buckingham Palace, and tried to drag her from the back seat. Ian Ball had planned it for 2 years, armed himself with 2 pistols, and carried a typed letter demanding £2 million for her return. Within minutes he shot 4 men. And the 23-year-old daughter of the Queen looked at her kidnapper and refused to move.
