Description

There was one thing missing from my workbench, and I didn’t realize how useful it could be until I finally built it. Now that I have it, I honestly keep asking myself: why didn’t I make this years ago? In this video, I build a custom solution for my bench vise that makes my workbench much more flexible. The vise can rotate, change its working angle, and even move underneath the workbench when I don’t need it. That means I can keep the workbench clear when the vise isn’t being used. It’s a simple idea, but it completely changes the way I use my workshop. I designed and built the entire mechanism myself using basic workshop tools and metalworking techniques. This is another homemade tool created to solve a real problem in my own workshop. I love building practical DIY tools that make everyday work easier, faster, and more enjoyable. From cutting and drilling to welding, machining, and fabrication, every detail was made with real workshop use in mind. This project is also a great example of how a small mechanical idea can make a big difference. If you enjoy homemade tools, clever workshop projects, metalworking, and DIY inventions, you’ll enjoy this build. I hope this project gives you an idea for improving your own workbench or workshop setup. And if you have ever wished your bench vise could simply get out of the way, you’ll understand exactly why I built this. Thanks for watching Innovation Time and joining me on another workshop project!
