Description
A basic bench vise can be much more than just a tool for holding parts.
In this video, I’m showing you 3 homemade attachments that can turn a simple vise into a much more versatile workshop tool.
The first attachment lets you rotate, tilt, and even hide your vise underneath the workbench when you’re not using it — keeping your entire work surface available.
The second attachment makes it possible to securely clamp tapered, triangular, and other difficult-to-hold shapes that are almost impossible to grip properly with standard vise jaws.
And the third attachment turns the vise into a simple metal roller, allowing you to form flat bar or round stock into a smooth circular shape.
All three attachments were made using basic workshop tools and scrap metal.
If you have a basic bench vise, you might be surprised by how much more you can do with it!
