Description

Every week, in churches on every continent, Paul's last sentence to Corinth gets said out loud by people who have never read the letter it came from. Deep Made Simple unpacks why that sentence carries more weight than most people realize, and why the order it puts three Persons in is not an accident. Lesson 13 closes the quarter on 1 and 2 Corinthians with the most famous benediction Paul ever wrote, 2 Corinthians 13.14. This study works through every word of it, the grace of Jesus, the love of God, and the koinonia of the Holy Spirit, and shows why each term has a price tag attached, an event behind it, and a direction built into it. The order Paul uses here runs Son, Father, Spirit instead of his usual Father, Son sequence. This lesson traces exactly why he does that, and what the Galatians 4 passage about adoption and the Spirit crying Abba has to do with the benediction said in your church last Sabbath. The five commands in 2 Corinthians 13.11 are the frame around the blessing, and this study treats each one as a real instruction rather than scenery, including the Greek word katartizo, mending a torn net, which brackets both letters and is the quietest ask Paul ever makes of the most difficult church he ever served. 📖 MEMORY VERSE "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." 2 Corinthians 13.14 (NIV) IN THIS VIDEO 0:00 The Strangest Closing Line in the Bible 1:36 Structure of Paul's Letter Closing 3:36 Grace Framing Every Pauline Letter 4:40 Charis vs Chairein the Greek Word Swap 6:28 What Paul Actually Means by Grace 8:54 The Love of God Anchored to an Event 12:48 Divine Love Comes First Not Human 14:47 God of Love and Peace Promise Explained 20:17 Koinonia Fellowship of the Holy Spirit 25:22 Grace Love Fellowship Three Events 25:48 Galatians 4 All Three Persons One Mission 31:38 Trinity in the Benediction Not Departments 38:06 Applying the Benediction to Real Church Life 💬 What stoo
