Description

Everest is the mountain everyone knows. The tallest point on Earth, the ultimate trophy, the name on every bucket list. But the tallest mountain is not the deadliest one. That title belongs to the peak sitting more than two hundred meters lower, on the other side of the Himalaya, a mountain most people could not point to on a map. You have probably heard that K2 kills one in four people who climb it. That reputation is real, and the truth behind it is stranger and darker than the myth. Because here is the part that matters: K2 is not more dangerous than Everest because it is higher. It is actually two hundred and thirty seven meters lower. It is more dangerous because of what kind of mountain it is. Everest, today, kills you with altitude, crowds, and bad luck. K2 kills you with the mountain itself, and almost every safety system that has slowly tamed Everest simply does not exist on K2. So let's climb it. From the bottom of the Baltoro Glacier to the summit and back down, we are going to go up K2 stage by stage, and at every single step it will show you something Everest does not have. This is every reason K2 is the most dangerous mountain on Earth. Make sure to subscribe for weekly videos!
