Description

The TRUTH Behind the Mysterious Crop Circles They Never Told you In the summer of 1990, with help from the British Army and money from the BBC and Japan's Nippon TV, a team of researchers camped on a Wiltshire hillside with heat sensors, night cameras and sound detectors, waiting to catch a crop circle being born. On the second night, the instruments picked up flashing orange lights in the field below. By morning, a formation had appeared. However, what the team found lying inside it would embarrass them in front of the world, and spark a suspicion about governments and crop circles that has never gone away.My name is Marcus Reed and today, I'm going to take you through the parts of the crop circle story that rarely make the headlines, the stakeouts, the confessions, the scientists, the circle-makers and the intelligence officers, and show you why the truth is stranger than either "aliens" or "pranks."The operation had a name. Operation Blackbird. It was led by Colin Andrews, a British electrical engineer who had become one of the best-known crop circle researchers in the world, working alongside his collaborator Pat Delgado. In 1989, the two had published a book called Circular Evidence, arguing that some formations couldn't be explained as human work.
