Description

Why do movies about leaving everything behind feel so comforting? From The Truman Show to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Into the Wild, some of our most memorable films are built around the same fantasy: walking away from the life that already knows us. But maybe the appeal isn’t really about disappearing. Maybe it’s about finding somewhere we no longer feel watched. A video essay about escape, expectations, and why the idea of starting over stays with us. #videoessay #movies #thetrumanshow #intothewild #waltermitty
