Description

Lion vs Prey | Incredible Hunting In Animal Kingdom (Full Episode) | Nature Animal Documentary. Dawn breaks over the Serengeti as one and a half million wildebeest pour north toward the Masai Mara, and behind a curtain of tawny grass the hunters wait. Across four hours of chained chapters, the African lion hunts buffalo, wildebeest and zebra across the greatest migration on Earth, and learns that on this savanna even the king can lose his meal. Through cinematic footage and educational storytelling, the first hour follows one migration season through every hunter in the animal kingdom. A cheetah coalition, each cat a fifth the weight of its prey, brings down a bull wildebeest and then pays the survival tax to thieves in the fifteen minutes it cannot move. A cheetah mother moves her den every few days and still watches most cubs lost. A lion pride cuts one buffalo from a panicking herd and brings the giant down. Half a million wildebeest calves are born in three weeks, and a mother turns on a hyena at the last second. At the Mara River a crocodile mother carries her hatchlings in the jaws that crush buffalo bone, the herds leap, and the hippos, not the crocodiles, own the water. A leopard drops from a branch without a chase. A hyena clan rings a lioness until she gives up her kill. An elephant mother breaks a wild dog ambush with one bellow. And at the last waterhole, a thirsty hippo walks straight at a lion pride and makes the king step aside. 0:00 The Arena of Survival 0:29 Dawn Over the Serengeti 2:09 The Great Migration 3:08 Cheetah Coalition vs Wildebeest 6:01 The Survival Tax 7:30 A Cheetah Mother Against the Odds 9:54 Lions vs Buffalo 12:13 Half a Million Calves 14:18 A Mother Turns on the Hyena 16:42 Zebra: Stripes and Memory 18:57 The Dry Season March 20:30 Into Lion Territory 21:47 The Mara River 22:51 The Crocodile Mother 24:25 The Crossing 27:08 Hippo: Ruler of the River 29:15 Bull Hippos Collide 30:43 Grief Is a Luxury 31:49 Leopard: the Solitary Hunter 34:13 Lions vs Hyenas 37:42 Flamingo Lake 40:30 Elephants in the Heat 41:30 Elephant Mother vs Wild Dogs 43:42 The Weaver Birds 46:25 Hippo vs Lion Pride at the Waterhole 49:36 The Cycle Never Ends 53:03 Lion Pride vs Buffalo Herd 1:53:03 Lions vs Hyenas: War for the Kill 2:53:03 Lion vs Prey: the Last Waterhole Epic Moments in This Documentary: A cheetah coalition bringing down a bull wildebeest five times its weight A lion leaping onto the back of a buffalo as the pride pins the giant A wildebeest mother wheeling on a hyena to save her calf at the last second A crocodile mother carrying her hatchlings to the water in her jaws The herds leaping into the Mara River as the crossing begins Two bull hippos colliding hard enough to drive the herds up the bank A leopard dropping from a branch onto prey fifteen feet below A hyena clan ringing a lioness until she gives up her kill An elephant mother breaking a wild dog ambush with a single bellow A thirsty hippo facing down a lion pride and taking the waterhole Lions and buffalo meeting again on the open plain in the chained chapters Behind the drama is a system. Half a million calves born in three weeks overwhelm every predator on the plains, and only about one in ten reaches adulthood, yet that is enough to keep a herd of millions turning. Only about five cheetah cubs in a hundred survive. And every hunter pays a price: the cheetah to thieves, the lion to hyena numbers, the king himself to one stubborn hippo. No predator stands forever at the summit, and no prey ever truly bows its head. This documentary contains raw, unfiltered footage of nature at its most intense. Viewer discretion is advised. All footage is captured in the wild with no interference to natural animal behavior.
