Description

📖 Forty years of dressing women over 60, the whole method, set down in one book https://viviansinclairstyle.com/ For forty years I sold blouses, and for forty years I watched the same thing happen. A woman would come out from behind the curtain, turn to the mirror, and her face would fall. Then the sentence I heard more than any other in my working life: I do not know what it is, but it is not right. She was right, and almost never for the reason she thought. She thought it was her arms, or her middle, or her age. Nine times out of ten it was the blouse. This video is not borrowed from anybody. Blouses were most of my living. Here is the idea underneath all seven: a blouse should skim you. Not cling, and not swallow. We are told from fifty onward that the answer to a changing body is more fabric, and it is not. More fabric is simply more fabric. The 7 mistakes, and what to do instead: • The blouse that is far too big, why baggy hides nothing, and the one seam to check before anything else • Too tight or too stiff, and the arm test I made every customer do before the till • The hem in the wrong place, why a long tunic shortens your legs, and the half tuck • Ignoring the sleeve: where a sleeve ends is where the eye stops, the three-quarter rule, and the armhole nobody mentions • A print louder than you are, why scale matters more than colour, and the ten-second window test • Fabric: drape, the hanger tests for creasing and transparency, and why a hard shine shows everything • The collar, kept short, and what colour sitting nearest your face is really doing Plus the twenty-second rescue for the blouse already hanging in your wardrobe that you have never quite worn. And the honest part: not one of these seven has anything to do with your size. The well-dressed women I dressed were not the slim ones, they were the ones wearing things that actually fitted. Sizes vary by shop, by season and by country, and the number on the label was never real. 📖 Forty years of dressing women over 60, the whole method, set down in one book https://viviansinclairstyle.com/ Which of the seven have you been guilty of? I was guilty of two of them well into my sixties. Tell me in the comments, and tell me whether the twenty-second rescue worked on something in your own wardrobe. I read every single one.
