Sen. Van Hollen DESTROYS DHS Secretary Over Deportation Scandal

In a Senate Homeland Security hearing, Senator Chris Van Hollen confronts DHS Secretary Mullin with the department's own press release — contradicted by camera footage from the incident it describes. The release described a federal officer in Minneapolis as the victim of an attempted murder. Video evidence told a different story, and the officer was arrested — the third DHS statement in months that didn't match the facts of a killing, including the cases of Alex Prey and Renee Good, now under separate state investigation. Van Hollen also raises the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a Maryland man wrongfully deported to El Salvador and returned only after a Supreme Court order — who was then hit with new charges Van Hollen says a federal judge called a vindictive prosecution.
