Description

Your Bible has footnotes pointing to books that no longer exist, and it names them in plain sight. Deep Made Simple digs into the full list of sources the Bible cited, quoted, and then never preserved, and what that actually means for the book you're holding. Most people picture a locked room and a committee burying inconvenient gospels when they hear the phrase "lost books of the Bible." The real story is printed inside the Bible itself, and it's far stranger than the conspiracy version. The Old Testament names royal archives, war poetry collections, and prophets' notebooks across close to twenty separate references. None of those scrolls survive. The New Testament quotes a Jewish book about angels, drops two names Exodus never gave us, and Paul cites a hymn originally written about Zeus. Every single source is named out loud by the book that used it. That pattern is not a scandal. A document with something to hide does not list its sources. This one lists them constantly and shows its work. 📖 KEY VERSE "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.", John 21.25 (NIV) IN THIS VIDEO 0:00 The Bible's Own Missing Book Footnotes 1:07 Lost Books Conspiracy Theory vs Reality 2:04 Book of Jashar Ancient Hebrew Poetry 4:14 Lost Royal Annals Kings and Chronicles 7:17 Jude Quotes Enoch Disputed Books 10:00 Michael Moses and Missing Jewish Sources 11:49 Paul Quotes Pagan Greek Poets 13:36 Paul's Lost Letters to Corinth Laodicea 15:40 Inspiration vs Preservation What Bible Claims 17:07 Why Ancient Scrolls Physically Disappeared 19:31 Suppressed Books Myth vs What Really Happened 21:44 What Was Chosen Is Enough John's Answer 23:17 How to Respond to Lost Books Claims 💬 Which one of these sources caught you most off guard?
