Hundreds of Bats Hidden Under One Roof #animals #shorts

Hundreds of bats shelter beneath roofing, revealing a hidden bat colony inside a building. Roof gaps and cavities provide protected roosting spaces for these nocturnal mammals. Bats use roosts to rest, shelter and raise young. Different species favour different spaces, from open roof voids to narrow crevices beneath tiles or boarding. Warm roof spaces can also support maternity colonies, where female bats gather to give birth and rear their pups. Suitable shelter and temperature are important during this stage of their life cycle. At night, insect-eating bats emerge to feed. They use echolocation, sending out calls and interpreting the returning echoes to locate insects and navigate their surroundings. Their feeding helps control insect populations, making bats valuable members of local ecosystems. #animals #wildlife #nature #natureholic #bats #batfacts Nature, wildlife, animals, animal facts, wildlife facts, nature facts, animal behaviour, animal behavior, animal kingdom, animal adaptations, biodiversity, natural world, wildlife encounters, nature shorts, bats in roof, hidden bat colony, bat roosts, bat maternity colony, bat echolocation, nocturnal bats
