Description

We’re taking our Ford Bronco up Starr Mountain Road 297 in East Tennessee for a mountain adventure through the Cherokee National Forest to see just how far this Forest Service road will take us. Starr Mountain Road 297, also known as Forest Service Road 297, climbs steadily through the forest as we work our way higher into the mountains. The road winds through thick woods, rocky stretches, gravel, elevation changes and beautiful mountain scenery as we head toward roughly 2,900 feet in elevation. This is exactly the kind of Bronco adventure we enjoy — finding a Forest Service road on the map, pointing the Bronco uphill and seeing where the road leads. There are no guarantees about what we’re going to find, what the road conditions will be like or whether we’ll actually make it all the way to the top. As we continue climbing Starr Mountain, the road gets more interesting and the scenery keeps changing. With every turn, we’re getting higher and closer to our destination, but the biggest question is still unanswered: Do we actually make it to the top of Starr Mountain Road 297? If you enjoy Ford Bronco adventures, Tennessee forest roads, Cherokee National Forest drives, scenic mountain trails, backroad exploration and Bronco trail rides, this is the kind of trip you’ll want to follow. And if you enjoy videos from Bronco Stampede, Bronco Throwback, Bronco Townsend, Bronco Super Celebration, Bronco rallies, Bronco events, Bronco meetups and organized Bronco trail rides, you’ll feel right at home here. We love getting the Bronco out into the mountains, exploring new roads and finding places that give Bronco owners another reason to get off the pavement. Come along as we take our Ford Bronco up Starr Mountain Road 297 through the Cherokee National Forest, climb toward 2,900 feet and find out...
