Description
🔧 Everything I learned fixing HVAC for 25 years, in one plain-English book.
📘 THE HVAC SURVIVAL GUIDE - get it here: https://raydutton.com
The heat came on by itself this week, and you didn't give it another thought, because it works. That's how a furnace gets finished at fifteen or twenty years, while the same furnace down the street is still running at thirty.
The difference isn't a service plan or a fancier brand. It's one afternoon a year, and not the forty-nine-dollar coupon visit. In this video I walk you through five jobs with a flashlight, a vacuum and a bucket: reading the floor of the cabinet, cleaning the water trap, checking the exhaust pipe, the burners, and the blower, where a ten-dollar part gets billed as a six-hundred-dollar motor.
For each job I tell you what's yours to do, what's the tech's job, and what each one costs when it gets skipped. Twenty-five winters I did that fall visit, and the floor of the cabinet was always the first thing I looked at.
