Description

One night, رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم did something in his sleep that those around him had never seen from him before. When they asked him about it, he spoke of an army that would march toward the House of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and be swallowed by the earth on an open plain. From the army of the elephant to that final army, Makkah has faced threat after threat. In this documentary, we follow them in order and look at what the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah really say about the sanctuary Allah سبحانه وتعالى made safe. We begin with the verse in which Allah سبحانه وتعالى reminded قريش that He made Makkah a safe sanctuary while people all around it were snatched away. We follow the army of أبرهة and its elephants, stopped in the valley of Muhassir in the year رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم was born. We hear the narrations of عائشة رضي الله عنها and حفصة رضي الله عنها about the army swallowed at البيداء, and why those who passed the hadith on said, when the army of الحجاج came, "We thought it was them." We look at the siege of عبد الله بن الزبير رضي الله عنهما, the Qarmatians who carried the Black Stone away for more than twenty years, and the seizure of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam in 1400 AH by men who claimed the Mahdi had come. Then we turn to the end of time: الدجال, who cannot enter Makkah or Madinah because angels stand guard at their entrances; the Hajj that continues even after يأجوج ومأجوج; and the last man who will ever raise his hand against the Ka'bah, at a time when no one remains on earth who says "Allah, Allah." No one can name the army mentioned in the hadith, and Allah سبحانه وتعالى knows best. Write in the comments where you are watching from, and let us make dua together for the people of Makkah and Madinah.
