Description

You burnt the rice, the bottom of the pot has a black ring welded to it, and you have already decided it is done for. It is not done for. In this video I take a scorched stainless steel pan back to bare bright metal, inside and out, with water, dish soap, a spoon of baking soda and a can of powdered cleanser, and most of that time the pan does the work while you sit down. I also cover the rainbow heat tint and why it was never hurting anything, the baked crust on the outside bottom that makes your pan cook unevenly and scratches a glass cooktop, the magnet test that tells you whether you even own stainless, the two spots on every pan nobody ever cleans, and the two popular hacks you should skip. Nothing here is a substitute for the pan maker's own instructions. Never mix cleaning chemicals.
