Description

Your grill is not worn out. It is dirty. In this video I take a crusted-up gas grill apart and clean it top to bottom in one afternoon the old farmhouse way: burn the grates hot, scrub them with a ball of tinfoil and half an onion, scrape everything dry with a plastic putty knife, soak the parts in hot soapy water, and put it back together with a coat of oil on the iron. I also show you the part under the grates that starts most grill fires, why the wire brush in your drawer belongs in the trash, the spider nests hiding in your burner tubes, the soapy-water leak test for your propane hose, and how to put a grill away for winter so the mice stay out. This video is for general information. Follow your grill maker's instructions and never mix cleaning chemicals.
