Description
What if we moved our Solar System to another galaxy? In this simulation, Earth orbits the supergiant star WOH G64 inside the Large Magellanic Cloud.
Discover what the night sky would look like, how far Earth would need to orbit, and how our galaxy would appear from another galaxy.
Experience a cinematic journey through WOH G64, also known as Behemoth Star, NGC 1755, the Tarantula Nebula, and one of the most extraordinary regions of the known Universe.
In this scientifically inspired simulation, we relocate the Solar System more than 160,000 light-years away to orbit WOH G64, one of the largest known supergiant stars. Along the way, we explore how enormous this star truly is, why Earth could not survive at 1 AU, and why it would need to orbit nearly 600 AU away to receive a similar amount of starlight.
From Earth's new home in the Large Magellanic Cloud, we witness an impossible view: the Milky Way seen as an entire spiral galaxy across the sky. We also visit the nearby star cluster NGC 1755 and its hypothetical central black hole, Jupiter, Saturn, and the Tarantula Nebula, creating a unique perspective on our place in the Universe.
This video is a cinematic space simulation created for educational and entertainment purposes. Some values are based on current astronomical estimates and scientific literature, while certain visual elements are adapted to illustrate the scale of these extraordinary objects.
