Description
In a recent interview granted by the NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi, he was asked why he refused the VP candidate slot offered to him by ADC before he decamped to NDC, Obi replied he was never offered a VP slot, that he didnt turn down a VP slot, “there was no offer”. he said.
Those comments sounded very conciliatory,
and coming from Obi, i was wondering what was going thru his mind, would he have agreed to be vice president? Did he leave the ADC because there was no offer on the table or is he just playing politics with the fact that he could not compete in ADC, he could not compete anywhere, he is always for a free ticket. Is he trying to cover his weakness, shifting the blame on the ADC
About the opposition, i think for the preservation of democracy and party politics in Nigeria, Nigeria needs a strong opposition. Right now, what we have is one big Lion - the APC, going for a hunt in a forest full of rabbits and wild dogs, the lion is simply on the way to its dinner.
I think for a viable opposition to be established, all the presidential candidates must be willing to make a sacrifice, they must all relinquish their presidential ambitions, and be willing to accept the choice made by their collective decision. As long as every one is standing his ground, we will remain where we were in 2023, and there could be only one result, an APC victory. Do you think Peter Obi should take the VP ticket in a coalition, as it is apparent Atiku cannot be VP, and Obi cannot win in a coalition election. How would an Obi decision to accept to be VP play out, especially with his SE base and the Obidients.
