Description

Found beneath the cliffs between Leura and Wentworth Falls is a walking track with an interesting history. It stretches for kilometres through rugged bush, past waterfalls, gullies and forests of tree ferns. It was surveyed, built with public money, appeared on maps and in tourist guidebooks, and was intended to become one of the great walking tracks of the Blue Mountains. There was just one problem. It never officially opened. And the man who spent years trying to make it happen would eventually find himself pushed out of public life. His name was Charles Lindeman. And this is the story of Lindeman Pass. *Please note - Lindeman Pass should only be attempted by experienced hikers & navigators due to unclear and non-existent tracks. Local police rescue don’t call it the “Bermuda Triangle” for nothing. Be safe! At time of filming this video, Lindeman Pass is closed below Gladstone Lookout due to a landslide and rockfall.
