Description

Everyone believed Stephen Grant when he went on Detroit television begging for his wife to come home, but the records told a different story. In this true crime documentary, we examine the 2007 murder of Tara Lynn Grant, a 34-year-old businesswoman and mother of two from Washington Township, Michigan. Five days after she was last seen, her husband reported her missing and described a dark car waiting outside the family home. Detectives found no phone record of the call he claimed to overhear, no sign she used her flight to Puerto Rico, and then a plastic bag in Stony Creek Metropark linked to a machine shop. A search warrant led to the garage and a statewide manhunt, ending in Wilderness State Park and a confession from a hospital bed. You'll hear the full timeline, the courtroom evidence, the second-degree murder verdict, the 50 to 80 year sentence, and the family Tara left behind. If this case stayed with you, subscribe and turn on notifications for more Case Bureau documentaries, and tell us in the comments when you realized his story didn't add up. Disclaimer: This video is for informational and educational purposes and is based on court records, appellate decisions, and published news reports.
