Description

Your playbook for doing business in Asia : https://statrys.com/youtube?v=YO4pncUUKQg Open a business account: https://statrys.com/getstarted?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=organic_video&utm_campaign=youtube_description&utm_content=YO4pncUUKQg 00:00 Introduction 01:17 The dinosaur memo 03:42 What's in the box 07:28 The other end of the funnel 10:03 When the export sector is human 12:08 What you can steal In 1993, an advisor to the Korean president compared what Jurassic Park had earned to what Hyundai made selling 1.5 million cars. The movie won. Six years later, a bankrupt country wrote culture into law. Last year Korean fans bought 93.5 million albums, in a world that stopped buying CDs twenty years ago. Most of them never play the disc. The disc is just the receipt. What they actually paid for is the sealed card inside. But the music was never the product. It is the door. Behind it sits 11.4 billion dollars of skincare, 13.6 billion of food exports, and a culture export line that is now 200 million dollars away from overtaking the entire Korean car industry. In this video I explain how the machine was built, who is really getting rich off it, and why the mechanism is cheaper to copy than it looks. #Kpop #Korea #SoftPower
