Description

Italian Sausage Impossible Pie — a Bisquick pie that makes its own crust, on the table in about 40 minutes. Y'all, I let my husband take over the kitchen for this one. We've made the original Impossible Pie (the coconut custard one so many of you love) and the Impossible Cheeseburger Pie, so this time I sent him on a mission: Italian sausage, peppers, onion, a whole lot of Italian cheese, and that simple Bisquick batter poured right over the top. No crust to roll, no fuss — the oven does the work. A drizzle of marinara at the end and this one might just be my favorite of the main-dish Impossible Pies. Jump on in and make it with us. INGREDIENTS: 1 pound ground Italian sausage 1/2 cup diced onion 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 cups shredded Italian blend cheese 3 large eggs 3/4 cup Bisquick 1 1/3 cups evaporated milk 1 teaspoon dried parsley 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried basil Marinara sauce, warmed, for serving Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center. Let it rest 5 minutes before slicing. 📖 Full recipe with printable card: https://marykatherinestable.com/italian-sausage-impossible-pie/ CHAPTERS: 0:00 — Intro (Someone Hijacked the Kitchen) 0:47 — What Is an Impossible Pie? + Ingredients 2:44 — Browning the Sausage, Onion & Pepper 4:31 — Adding the Cheese & Filling the Pie Pan 5:55 — Mixing the Bisquick Batter 8:23 — Pour It Over & Bake 9:50 — Out of the Oven 10:33 — Slicing In 11:07 — Marinara & Parsley Finish 11:44 — Taste Test 13:30 — Which Impossible Pie Is the Best One? 14:17 — Final Thoughts If you loved this recipe, you might also enjoy: 👉 Impossible Pie — It Makes Its OWN Crust!
