Man Builds a Stone and Wood Survival House in the Forest | Start to Finish

I built the warmest wood and stone house I've ever made — designed from the ground up for real forest living through serious cold. Every decision in this build came back to one thing: heat retention. Dry-laid stone for the lower walls where thermal mass matters most, timber framing above it sealed tight against wind and cold air. The roof pitched and fitted properly, no gaps left to find later in winter. Inside I built all the furniture by hand — bushcraft bed, shelving, a table — and set up every system needed to stay warm, fed, and comfortable for as long as the forest requires. The warmest house I've built. Built to stay that way. For business inquiries and collaborations: [email protected]
