I Built a Log House on Stilts in the Forest in 100 Days | Start to Finish

I spent 100 days alone building a log house on stilts into a mountain slope — everything I've learned from years of forest building went into this one. The stilts solved the slope — elevated on timber posts, the structure sits level above uneven ground without touching it. Round log walls notched and stacked above that, a roof framed and fitted over the top, the whole thing anchored into the hillside the way only a builder who knows this terrain can manage. Outside I built a gazebo for rest — a covered open structure where the forest view does the decorating. Inside: handmade furniture, a sleeping platform, everything arranged for long-term living rather than short-term survival. Every forest shelter I've ever built taught me something. This one is where all of it came together. For business inquiries and collaborations: [email protected]
