Description

Donate: https://stub.africa/@accolonn Is the ANC’s tripartite alliance starting to unravel? Reports of a Gwede Mantashe walkout at a COSATU gathering, tensions with the South African Communist Party, and an ANC Youth League warning raise serious questions about the direction of South African politics. In this video, I discuss Africa Daily’s report about Mantashe and what the alleged dispute over speaking order could reveal about the relationship between the ANC, COSATU and the SACP. As explained in the video, I could not independently verify the walkout through mainstream reporting. I also examine the ANC Youth League’s warning that “this country will burn,” the EFF’s “victory or death” slogan, and what I see as growing desperation among the ANC, EFF and MK Party. How much pressure can these movements withstand as public frustration grows? From the Government of National Unity and pressure from America to economic exclusion, racial policies and centralised government, I explore why I believe the ANC’s political protection is beginning to weaken. I also challenge the arguments used to defend socialism and discuss the roles of the media and business in shielding political leaders from accountability. Finally, I turn to Hebrews 10:29–31 for a Christian reflection on justice, repentance and accountability—and why we should pray for Cyril Ramaphosa, Julius Malema and our other leaders to come to faith in Jesus Christ.
