Spain Goes Fuzz | 10 Wild Psych, Garage & Proto-Punk Tracks from 60s Spain

Spain in the 60s was still living under the dictatorship of General Franco, but the decade also brought major changes to the country. While many groups of the period followed a more polished pop and beat sound, others took things much further, experimenting with garage rock, freakbeat, psychedelia, fuzz guitar and increasingly adventurous arrangements. Some of these recordings sound remarkably wild even today, and many have since become cult favourites among collectors and fans of 60s garage and psychedelic music. In this video, I’m looking at 10 wild psych, garage and proto-punk tracks from 60s Spain, featuring some of my personal favourites and exploring the stories behind the bands and their music. 0:00 Intro 0:45 Los Salvajes 2:38 Los Beta 3:57 Los Nivram 5:50 Los Sirex 7:53 Los Pasos 9:34 Los No 11:53 Micky y Los Tonys 13:11 Los Gritos (song muted due to copyright restrictions) 14:44 Los Pekenikes 16:45 Màquina! 18:17 Outro
