The Speech that Triggered the Crusades #crusades

This is the intro to the Crusades series i am making. The Council of Clermont is where the Crusades officially began. In 1095, Pope Urban II stood before thousands in France and called on Christian knights to march east and retake Jerusalem. The crowd's response became history's most famous battle cry "Deus vult," God wills it. Within a year, tens of thousands answered the call, launching the First Crusade and reshaping the medieval world for centuries. Save this for your next history deep dive, Would you have answered the call? #crusader #Crusades #templar #MedievalHistory #christianmusic
