Description

The Most TERRIFYING Multi Gun Vehicle Of The Vietnam War You've Never Heard Of Everyone online calls the M50 Ontos the most terrifying vehicle of the Vietnam War. The records tell a different story, and honestly, a better one. This is the little tank destroyer the US Army tested and rejected. Built by a farm equipment company, six recoilless rifles bolted to its shoulders, armor barely half an inch thick, and only 297 ever made. In Vietnam it never knocked out a single enemy tank. Yet when the Marines were trapped in the worst city battle of their war at Hue in 1968, this misfit blasted them a path through the walls, and the colonel commanding the 1st Marines called it the most effective of all Marine supporting arms. In this documentary we break down what the Ontos actually was, where the "terrifying" legend comes from, which numbers hold up and which ones fall apart, and how a weapon nobody wanted ended up saving Marines at Hue. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📕 We put everything we had into this book, for the men and for the families who never got the story: The Documented History of MACV-SOG in Vietnam. Every claim sourced. $11.99: https://truevietnamdocs.com ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Veteran interview: Jim Greene, USMC 1964-67, Ontos commander in Vietnam.
