Description

Is Nvidia about to collapse? Why are the smartest investors quietly selling? This business documentary compares the AI bubble and the DotCom bubble to see what we can learn from the past. Nvidia is the most valuable company in the world, and the smartest investors of the last twenty years are quietly walking out. Michael Burry, who called the 2008 housing crash, disclosed a bet against it. SoftBank sold its entire Nvidia stake, 32 million shares, 5.8 billion dollars. Days later, Peter Thiel's fund revealed it had sold every share it owned. This video is about what they saw. Because the last time it looked exactly like this, the company at the center was not a fraud. It was Cisco Systems, March 2000: the most valuable public company on Earth, in the most innovative industry of its era, trading at roughly 200 times earnings while serious analysts predicted it would be the first trillion dollar company. Then it lost ninety percent of its value and more than 400 billion dollars vanished. Cisco was not lying. The internet was real. The dominance was real. What broke it was where the money came from: Cisco lent its own customers the cash to buy Cisco equipment, and booked the return trip as revenue. Twenty-five years later, analysts have counted more than 800 billion dollars moving in circles through the AI industry. Nvidia commits up to 100 billion to OpenAI. OpenAI commits hundreds of billions to Oracle and other cloud providers. Those data centers fill with Nvidia chips. The money leaves Nvidia, travels the industry, and returns to Nvidia as revenue. In 2000 they laid 80 million miles of fiber optic cable and lit less than five percent of it. They were certain the demand would come. Nobody yet knows the real return on the hundreds of billions being spent on AI. Here is the part nobody wants to hear. A bubble is not built on a lie. The most dangerous ones are built on the truth. When the story is real, doubting the price feels like doubting the future, and nobody wants to be the fool who bet against the future. In 1998 an analyst put a 400 dollar price target on Amazon and was called reckless, then crowned a visionary when it hit. He was right. Amazon became one of the most valuable companies in history. It also fell 93 percent first, and the people who followed him in at the top were wiped out on the way to him being proven correct. South Sea 1720. Wall Street 1929. Tokyo 1989. Railways, dot-com, housing, crypto. Every time, the people inside were certain. Every time, a handful walked out early and looked like cowards until they looked like prophets. Every time, it took a generation to recover, which is exactly how long it takes to forget. And every time, every single person in the room believed they were the one standing outside the bubble, looking in, calm. Not one of them was. That includes you. That includes us. The smart money did not leave because they could see a crash coming. Nobody can see a crash. They left because they stopped needing to be right about the top. Power is not built on correctly predicting the technology of the future. It is built on knowing when belief outgrows the value. Power is built. Ruin is earned. --------------------------------------------------------------------- GET THE CASE FILE Every collapse runs the same playbook.
